Lastimosa joined Binibining Pilipinas three times before finally winning the crown.
During the question-and-answer portion, Lastimosa was asked by reigning Miss Universe Queen Gabriela Isler, "What is the greatest advantage of being a woman?"
A confident Lastimosa answered: "The greatest advantage of being a woman is being able to compose herself. Just like here, we're standing in front of thousands of people, not knowing if you're going to cheer for us or boo us. But we try to compose ourselves. We keep the emotions and show the beauty that is in us and tonight, thousands of people are standing here, celebrating the beauty of women."
A graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University, Guidotti currently works as a technical assistant of the executive director at the humanitarian organization Community and Family Services International.
Trade and Industry Secretary Gregory Domingo, during the question-and-answer portion, asked Guidotti, "Should you win one of the titles, how would you use your crown to push for your advocacy?"
"If I win a title, I would use my crown to urge people to adopt their own advocacies. I want people to be passionate about it—something really close to their hearts," the pageant newbie answered. "Someday, hopefully, I will make an NGO of my own."
She is the first to win this new title.
According to the Binibining Pilipinas website, her main inspiration for joining the pageant is his father who died of heart attack.
Asked what would she change if she can go back in time, Janson said, "I would go to my father and tell him how much I love him because I know that it was something I took for granted. But tonight, I do not worry because I know he has the best seat, and he is watching from above. And tonight, I am a step closer from achieving his dream."
The 20-year-old certified public accountant came to Manila from Daraga just to join the Binibining Pilipinas pageant.
During the question-and-answer portion, she was asked by former beauty queen Margie Moran what quality is inherent in a Filipina that makes her stand out in beauty pageants.
"The quality that every Filipina has and makes her stand out in international pageant is confidence. We feel confident with our own skin and that makes us feel very beautiful," she answered.
The Binibining Pilipinas Tourism 2014 title went to 25-year-old registered nurse, Parul Shah.
The Filipino-Indian joined Binibining Pilipinas once before finally winning a title.
Asked during the question-and-answer portion what current event or latest news affects her, she answered, "I'll have to say it's [the news] about the Malaysia Airlines [flight] that went down. My sincere love and compassion goes out to all the families who lost their love ones. All I can say is that we shouldn't lose faith in God."
