Under the slogans of "achieving world peace through mutual understanding" and "proper understanding of Japan in a globalized society," the Miss International Beauty Pageant has operated to promote people-to-people and cultural exchanges as international contributions.
From 1968-1970 to commemorate the Osaka World Expo (the 1968 Pageant was held at the Nippon Budokan, with the "Ginza Parade" from Hibiya Park to Nihonbashi received to great acclaim). This led to it being staged in Japan every year from 1972, and we attended Beijing Olympic 2008, and the 2010 of the MI Beauty Pageant took place in Chengdu, China as the pre-event for the Shanghai World Expo 2010 ranks as the core event of international goodwill activities in China, which is enjoying spectacular economic growth.
From 2004 to 2006 in Beijing and the three years from 2009, we hold the MI Beauty Pageant in Chengdu, China, to engage in supportive activities for Sichuan earthquake.
The MI Beauty Pageant 2012 has taken place in Okinawa, Japan, and the delegates had a lot of activities with the local people and communities; therefore, it helped to expand the goodwill relationship in the delicates as well as promoting Okinawa culture all over the world.
We established “Miss International Foundation” 46 years ago, which is a campaign to raise funds and make donations through charities such as UNICEF for the deprived child all over the world. Moreover, as environment preservation, we have an annual plant trees activity called “Green Champaign” in Japan.
The aim of this "Beauty Festival" is for each delegate to compete not only their external beauty but also to enrich their inner beauty by having such international exchanges and social action programs.
Every year, we will have the "Goodwill Ambassadors of Beauty" representing over 60 countries and regions with an abundant spirit of goodwill. The new history of the Miss International Beauty Pageant will be carved out by such energetic and active delegates from all over the world!
